Locate The Flasher Button Inside The Pt Crusier

Car flashers are often integrated with the parking and headlight units.

Turning on the hazard flashers is an important step towards safety if the PT Cruiser has a mechanical breakdown or flat tire on the side of the road. The flashers will blink constantly to make other drivers on the road aware of the Cruiser’s presence and location. Chrysler located the flasher button in two different locations on the Cruiser, which was introduced in 2000 and discontinued in 2010. The Cruiser from 2000 to 2005 had the flasher button in a different location than the models manufactured from 2006 to 2010.

2000 to 2005 PT Cruiser

1. Open the driver’s-side door and climb into the driver’s seat.

2. Inspect the cover of the steering column directly in front of the steering wheel (towards the front of the Cruiser).

3. Locate the flasher button on the left side of the steering column panel in front of the steering wheel. It’s a large button with a red triangle — the hazard flasher insignia.

2006 to 2010 PT Cruiser

4. Sit in either the driver’s-side or passenger-side front seat.

5. Locate the radio on the center of the instrument panel of the PT Cruiser.

6. Locate the seven buttons below the radio on the instrument panel.

7. Locate the center button with the red triangle on it on the series of seven buttonsm — this is the flasher button. The red triangle indicates a universal reference to the hazard flasher button on all vehicles.
